Job Description:
Department Overview
The Wealth Management Finance department is accountable for the major financial functions of TDBG's wealth management business, providing: business planning, financial analysis, measurement, valuation and risk assessment. The Wealth Finance team works closely with the business and TDBG's centralized financial expertise (e.g. accounting, reporting, taxation) to provide quality expertise and advice to their Wealth Management clients, consistent with overall TDBG's financial strategy and objectives. As part of TD Wealth Finance, the TDAM Finance team provides dedicated support to TD Asset Management and TD Epoch covering more than 900 employees.
Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Group Manager Wealth Finance, this role will support the TDAM business and will be responsible for developing and providing value-added management reporting and financial support to the TDAM business. The position will support both the Reporting function, and the Forecasting and Planning function, within TDAM Finance.
Specific responsibilities include: ·
- Participate in the production of detailed monthly management reporting and close processes, including the development of ongoing process and quality enhancements ·
- Prepare monthly analysis and reporting for assets under management (AUM), and provide business insight on key drivers and developing trends ·
- Provide value-added financial analysis and advisory support to business partners to develop and execute strategic initiatives. This includes the preparation of financial analyses and business cases, presentation decks or conducting Finance presentations to business partners as required ·
- Contribute to the annual financial planning and quarterly forecasting processes for TDAM · Support ad hoc requests from the TDAM business, particularly on revenue drivers ·
- Continuous innovation and simplification of existing processes, including leveraging technology to streamline complex workflows
Requirements
- University/College education with a focus on Finance, Accounting, Commerce or Business
- Understanding of TD Wealth business would be an asset
- Hyperion 11 SmartView, EPM, OAC, would be an asset
- Proficiency and experience in MS Excel and PowerPoint
Other Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
- Highly motivated team player who can take the lead in completing projects and tasks from start to finish
- Strong business acumen, analytical and conceptualization skills and the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to work with finance and business partners, and understand & manage the relationships with business partners
- Product knowledge and/or business experience within wealth management or asset management industries would be an asset
