CAD Technician

The Opportunity:

WSP is seeking a Junior CAD Technician to join our Infrastructure department in Western Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing your expertise in Civil 3D to contribute to various projects. Your work will span from the initial conceptual design phase all the way through to project completion. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your technical skills and collaborate with a dynamic team on impactful infrastructure projects.

What you can expect to do here:

• Utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D knowledge in projects from concept to completion;
• Prepare engineering drawings to specified standards;
• Design assistance;
• Earthworks modeling; and
• Other duties as assigned/required.

What you'll bring to WSP:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Engineering Design and Drafting;
• 1-3 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting and design;
• Experience in working on the field would be considered as an asset;
• Knowledge in AutoCAD Civil 3D software is mandatory;
• Highly motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic team player;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a flexible attitude are a must; and
• Capable of working independently.
