Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Admissions provides strategic leadership and operational oversight. This role ensures the development and continuous improvement of admissions strategies aligned with Sprott Shaw's mission and enrollment goals. The Vice President of Admissions oversees the team of Admissions Advisors and related staff, supporting their professional development and ensuring high performance, compliance, and a student-centered approach.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Vision​
  • Provide leadership and vision for recruitment and admissions strategies to meet enrollment targets.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop sustainable enrollment plans and growth strategies.
  • Stay informed of trends in higher education and the labour market to adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Admissions Operations Management​
  • Oversee operations of Admissions Advisors, including performance management, training and ongoing support.
  • Set, monitor, and assess performance goals, including lead conversion, call volume, follow-ups, and enrollment targets.
  • Ensure adherence to institutional quality standards and compliance requirements (e.g. PTIRU, StudentAidBC, STBC, BCCNM, etc.)
  • Provide regular performance reports to senior leadership and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Staff Development & Supervision​
  • Develop and execute professional development programs.
  • Conduct or support performance evaluations, improvement plans, and strategic staffing decisions.
  • Strategic Planning & Reporting​
  • Lead the development and implementation of predictive enrollment models and long-term projections.

Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.

Qualifications and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field with an emphasis on Sales and Marketing (Master's is an asset)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in sales/admissions
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a management role
