HOURLY RATE: $20.02/hour

PART TIME HOURS

Using the Lifesaving Society "Swim for Life" program, instructors will lead lessons from within the pool in an effort to develop the participants skills in the water.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • Creating weekly lesson plans and report cards following Life Saving Society curriculum.
  • Teach weekly lessons; Evaluate participant's ability to achieve standard; completes one final evaluation per student.
  • Enforce pool rules and promote water safety.
  • Respond to aquatic emergencies as needed.
  • Always maintain a clean facility including performing cleaning duties to entrance ways. Lobby, multipurpose and first aid rooms, pool, deck and change rooms.
  • Inform Plunge management of any concerns related to facility and/ or programs.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • Standard First Aid and CPR 'C' required.
  • Swim Instructor Certification from LSS required.
  • Lifeguard (NL) Certification from LSS required.
  • Previous Instructor experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all ages.
