We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst to join our team within the Market Intelligence division, focusing on Private Valuations and Scorecards. This role is ideal for someone who excels at translating business needs into actionable technology requirements, enhancing solution design, and supporting change management initiatives. Success in this position requires strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to distill complex needs into clear, concise requirements that align with Scrum practices.
Responsibilities And Impact
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate Business Needs: Collaborate with stakeholders to convert broad business requests into specific, actionable technology requirements.
- Clarify Requirements: Improve solution design by clarifying requirements and suggesting practical options based on current system constraints and integration points. Guide the team toward cost-effective solutions that meet business objectives.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation, including business requirement documents, functional specifications, and user stories.
- UI/UX Design Collaboration: Partner with design and development teams to ensure user interface and user experience considerations are embedded into requirements. Contribute to wireframes, mockups, and usability reviews to align solutions with user needs.
- Testing and Validation: Participate in the testing and validation of solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and quality standards.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Involve in UAT processes, including developing test cases and facilitating user feedback sessions.
- Continuous Improvement: Seek out opportunities to enhance processes and systems, fostering a mindset of continuous improvement within the team.
What We're Looking For
Basic Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in business administration, technology, or similar discipline
- Minimum 5+ years experience in financial services with 5+ years working in Business Analyst role with Project Management exposure.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Experience working with project management and issue tracking software (MS Project, JIRA, Smartsheet, AzureDevOps etc.)
- Drive Innovation: Challenge assumptions and ensure that we are addressing the right problems. Encourage a culture of innovation by proposing new ideas and solutions that enhance our capabilities.
- Problem Solving: Utilize strong analytical skills to identify issues and propose effective solutions. Ensure that requirements meet Scrum practices and facilitate agile methodologies within the team.
- Time management: The ability to work independently and autonomously whilst under pressure, with excellent time management and interpersonal skills
- Teamwork: A collaborative team spirit with ability to adapt communication style in different situations
- Engage Stakeholders: Actively engage with stakeholders at all levels to gather insights and feedback throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business goals. Strong communication and presentation skills
- Support Change Management: Assist stakeholders in understanding the impacts of technology changes and prepare them for adoption post-release.
