Company Description

Battlefords Agency Tribal Chiefs Inc. (BATC), established in 2007, is a tribal council representing First Nations including Ahtahkakoop, Moosomin, Red Pheasant, Sweetgrass, and Stoney Knoll, with Saulteaux and Mosquito Grizzly Bear's Head Lean Man First Nations joining later. BATC provides a range of advisory services in areas such as housing, economic development, governance, financial management, and justice. Over time, additional focus areas have been added, including social development, employment and training, industry relations, and investment initiatives. BATC is dedicated to supporting its members through sustainable growth and development across its member First Nations communities.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Saskatoon Metropolitan Area for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BATC. The CEO will be responsible for overseeing the organization's strategic planning, business operations, and financial performance. Day-to-day tasks include managing operations, driving economic and social development initiatives, building strong external partnerships, and leading various departments to achieve organizational goals. The role also requires ensuring the alignment of policies and procedures with the organization's mission and engaging with member First Nations leadership to deliver impactful outcomes.

  • Strong expertise in Finance and Financial Management
  • Skills in Operations Management and Business Planning
  • Experience in Strategic Planning
  • Proven leadership and organizational management capabilities
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Knowledge of First Nations governance, history, and culture is highly desirable
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Proven executive-level leadership experience
