JTL Techs is a Garage door apprenticeship, which also supplies, installs and service garage doors for clients in Calgary, surrounding areas, and out of province.

At this time, our ideal candidate has more freedom to work with a start-up business, and the innate ability to combine their talents with the industry through this opportunity, and earn a healthy living from their efforts. Engineering and design students are encouraged to join.

As a Garage Door Technician, you will play a crucial role in installing, repairing, and maintaining garage doors for our valued clients. This hands-on position requires a strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

You will be trained to:

  • Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial garage doors and openers.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with garage door systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete installations and projects efficiently.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Earn your CDI Certificates and improve your business acumen to become a self directed contractor.

Qualifications:

  • With or without previous experience as a garage door technician
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Apprentice rate will be disclosed to applicants. Payment is on a per job basis, completed installation.
