Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server to join our vibrant Lettuce Love Cafe restaurant team As a Server, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, expert food and beverage knowledge, and a welcoming attitude. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create memorable dining moments for our guests, ensuring they feel valued and satisfied from the moment they arrive until their departure. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase your hospitality skills in a lively environment that celebrates food, service, and guest relations.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS system, ensuring all special requests are noted clearly.
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
  • Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend popular dishes or beverages, and upsell items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
  • Manage multiple tables simultaneously with excellent time management skills to ensure timely service.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability for all sales.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables promptly, resetting tables efficiently, and adhering to food safety protocols.
  • Assist with food preparation or kitchen support when needed, demonstrating versatility in food handling and sanitation practices.
  • Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, address concerns promptly, and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with team members including hosts/hostesses, kitchen staff, and management to deliver seamless service in a fast-paced environment
  • Promote specials or upcoming events through friendly conversation to maximize sales opportunities through upselling techniques.

Experience

Candidates should possess previous restaurant experience or food service background, ideally within fine dining or nightclub environments. A strong foundation in customer service is essential, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and basic math skills for cash handling is required. Candidates with culinary experience or kitchen familiarity will find added value in this role. Previous host/host experience or serving roles will be advantageous for success in this position.
