The Role

As an Intermediate QA Engineer at Zaui you will drive both manual and automated testing across our software platform. While much of our testing today is manual, we are investing heavily in automation, and this role will be key to building out that capability. You will collaborate closely with developers and product teams to ensure our software is reliable, scalable, and user-friendly.

As an Intermediate QA Engineer, you will:

  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Design, document, and execute manual test plans for new features and regression coverage.
  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks to expand automated test coverage over time.
  • Perform functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Investigate and validate client-reported issues; reproduce, log, and track them in Jira.
  • Contribute to QA process improvements, including evolving test methodologies, tools, and reporting.
  • Communicate findings clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide input into release readiness decisions by assessing overall product quality.

This may be the right opportunity for you if you have:

  • Understanding and implementation of Selenium and PHP unit (or a similar type of framework)
  • 3-5 years of experience in software QA, including test automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium with JAVA and PHPUnit (or similar test frameworks).
  • Programming skills in PHP or another object-oriented language.
  • Experience designing, writing, and executing automated test scripts.
  • Knowledge of API testing (e.g., Postman, REST clients).
  • Familiarity with Linux, Bash/terminal scripting, and SQL for data validation.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with:
  • GitHub (or similar version control systems)
  • Jira (or similar issue tracking tools)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices.
