Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Gas Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas systems and appliances across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing, mechanical systems, and safety protocols related to gas operations. The Gas Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of gas-related equipment while adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Duties

  • Install, inspect, and repair gas lines, appliances, and related equipment in compliance with safety standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on boilers, HVAC systems, and other mechanical components associated with gas systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues using schematics and technical manuals to identify faults or inefficiencies.
  • Conduct welding and plumbing tasks as needed to repair or modify gas infrastructure.
  • Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams for accurate installation and repairs.
  • Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Test systems after repairs or installations to verify proper operation and safety.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and inspections completed.

Experience

  • 2 years Proven experience working as a Gas Technician or in a similar mechanical or maintenance role.
  • Strong background in plumbing, welding, boiler operation, HVAC systems, or appliance repair.
  • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
  • Experience with construction projects or building maintenance is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures related to gas systems and mechanical work.
  • Prior mechanic experience or construction background will be considered an asset. This position offers an opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute their expertise in a dynamic environment focused on safety and quality service delivery.

Pay: $17.20-$25.00 per hour
