I'm currently looking for a family law paralegal to join my growing remote-first practice — someone who values professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail as much as I do.

Role Description

This is a contract
REMOTE
role for a Family Law Paralegal, for a sole practitioner located in Campbell River, BC. The Family Law Paralegal will assist in managing legal documents and client files, drafting family law agreements, correspondence, and court forms.

Responsibilities will also include conducting legal research, liaising with clients, and supporting lawyers during hearings and mediations. The role requires efficient organization and time management to ensure smooth case progression.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in drafting legal documents, agreements, and court forms for family law cases
  • Knowledge of legal research methodologies and preparing legal correspondence
  • Strong organizational and file management skills
  • Proficient communication skills for client interaction and coordination with lawyers
  • Experience with practice management software and general computer literacy
  • Ability to work under deadlines with attention to detail
  • Certification or diploma in Paralegal Studies or equivalent experience is required
  • Understanding of family law procedures and practices in British Columbia
