Job Overview

Pup & Co House Care is a premium in-home pet-sitting and dog-walking company providing trustworthy, compassionate care to pets in the comfort of their own homes. We're seeking two responsible, animal-loving individuals to join our pack as subcontracted pet care providers.

This role is perfect for someone who loves animals and enjoys flexible, independent work. You'll care for dogs, cats and small animals during client vacations or busy work weeks = ensuring every pet receives personalized attention, safety and affection.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a full-time job that provides a consistent income. It's best suited for pet lovers looking to earn extra money through something they genuinely enjoy. You will be fairly compensated for your services, and as you build your client list and reputation, you can take on as many (or as few) bookings as you wish - that growth takes time.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home pet sitting, overnight stays, dog walks, and drop-in visits.
• Follow all client instructions regarding feeding, walking, routines and medications (if applicable).
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet's needs and any relevant updates through WhatsApp and iMessage.
• Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners regarding care routines and preferences.
• Ensure the comfort and emotional well-being of every pet in your care.
• Report any incidents, health concerns or emergencies promptly to Pup & Co owner and client.
• Maintain a safe, clear and secure environment in the client's home.
• Keep accurate schedules and manage bookings using Google Calendar and shared scheduling tools.
• Build strong relationships with both pets and their owners through excellent customer service.
• Represent Pup & Co with reliability, professionalism and kindness.

Experience

• Previous experience in pet sitting, animal care or dog walking is preferred but not required.
• Must be 18 years or older and legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Strong customer service skills are essential to ensure a positive experience for pet owners.
• A genuine love for animals and the ability to handle various breeds and temperaments is crucial.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Must have a smartphone capable of using Google programs, WhatsApp, and your banking app for payments.
• Must complete a criminal background check prior to hire.
• Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work independently while managing multiple clients effectively. Join us in providing loving care to pets while delivering peace of mind to their owners

Compensation & Terms

• Independent contractor position (not an employee role).
• Pay is per service (prior to the start date of service).
• Contractors contribute a small monthly insurance fee ($12.00 or less) to remain covered under Pup & Co's bonding policy.
• Flexible hours - ideal for those with another job, students, or stay-at-home individuals seeking additional income.
• Opportunities to grow your client base over time with consistent, high-quality service.

Pay: $35.00-$80.00 per day
