Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Snow Plow Operator to efficiently clear snow and ice from designated roadways, parking lots, and walkways during winter months. The ideal candidate will have experience operating snow removal equipment and possess a strong understanding of safety protocols. This role is vital in maintaining safe and accessible environments during inclement weather conditions, ensuring the safety of the community and property.

Responsibilities

  • Operate snow plow trucks and related equipment to remove snow and ice from roads, parking lots, and walkways
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on snow removal machinery to ensure optimal performance
  • Apply salt or other de-icing materials as needed to prevent ice formation
  • Monitor weather conditions to anticipate snow accumulation and plan plowing schedules accordingly
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure timely and efficient snow removal operations
  • Follow safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or equipment damage
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating snow plow trucks or similar machinery
  • Mechanical knowledge related to maintenance and minor repairs of snow removal equipment
  • Ability to work in cold weather conditions for extended periods during snow events
  • Strong attention to safety protocols and environmental considerations
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week
