As a Contract Specialist, some of the things to expect on a day-to-day basis:
- Manage the contract lifecycle from creation through signature, record management, and compliance.
- Advise procurement professionals and senior leaders on the contract management process, terms and conditions to look for, and best practices in the industry.
- Lead and support procurement activities, including supplier selection, purchase order processing, order management, and supplier performance evaluation.
- Oversee and coordinate ERP system activities related to transaction orders, ensuring accurate and timely processing of procurement transactions and supporting continuous process improvements.

Execute and support all aspects of the contract life cycle management process for procurement (supplier) contracts from contract creation/drafting, negotiation, administration/record management, and compliance tracking/audit through contract renewal or termination.
- Assist procurement and other industry professionals, internal clients, and other stakeholders at all levels regarding contract terms and conditions, including resolving complex contractual and business issues, while ensuring consistently high quality and accuracy of contract documentation.
- Partner with Legal on contract reviews, approvals, and workload assignments of contracts. Prioritize and finalize with accuracy and attention to detail all contract documentation. Work with Legal on the delivery of legal training and deployment of best practices, tools, and templates across the procurement organization.
- Support the implementation, optimization, and automation of Contract Lifecycle Management tools, Procure to Pay systems, and ERP transactional order workflows, ensuring seamless integration and process efficiency.
Lead and execute procurement activities including supplier selection, purchase requisition processing, order placement, and supplier performance evaluation, ensuring compliance with company policies, strategic sourcing objectives.
Bachelor's degree in in law, supply chain, procurement, and/or paralegal studies preferred.
- 5 + years' experience in contract management
- Demonstrated experience in procurement activities, including supplier selection, purchase requisition processing, order management, and supplier performance evaluation, as well as experience with procure-to-pay (P2P) processes, including invoice matching and supplier payment.
- Proficiency in managing system activities related to transaction orders (e.g., order entry, tracking, amendments, and closure), ensuring accurate and timely processing of procurement transactions, and familiarity with ERP systems (such as JD Edwards E1) for procurement and contract management processes.
- Deep understanding of contract management administration and legal principles, with experience using contract workflow and repository software (e.g., Jaggaer) preferred.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities, with a proven track record of securing favorable contract terms and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
- High adaptability to changing business needs, regulations, and market conditions, combined with effective time management and prioritization skills, and a solid grasp of individual business operations and their requirements.
- Excellent collaboration, relationship-building, and customer service orientation, with a results-driven and detail-oriented approach, and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
