About Us:
At Yorkdale Dufferin Mazda, we take pride in delivering exceptional service and a welcoming environment to every guest. We're looking for a friendly, professional, and organized Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our dealership.
Position Overview:
The Receptionist is responsible for greeting customers, handling telephone communications, managing basic administrative tasks, and ensuring the front desk and reception area operate smoothly. This position plays a key role in creating a positive first impression for our customers and supporting daily dealership operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a multi-line phone system and direct calls to the appropriate department in a courteous and professional manner.
- Take accurate messages and relay information promptly.
- Greet and assist walk-in customers and visitors.
- Distribute incoming mail and faxes; coordinate courier pickups and deliveries.
- Process customer payments, petty cash, cheque requisitions, and assist with customer accounts.
- Respond to emails and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the reception and waiting areas.
- Handle basic data entry, filing, and clerical duties as assigned.
- Support the Parts and Sales departments with administrative tasks, including dealer trade invoicing and vehicle inventory updates.
- Assist with daily licensing and documentation when required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in customer service (automotive experience an asset).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Professional appearance, friendly personality, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with ADP/CDK or similar dealership management systems is an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
