Full-time Maintenance Technician

Hiatus House is looking for a Full-time Maintenance Technician to join our growing team.

We offer services and programs for every member of the family impacted by abuse; 24-hour crisis line, emergency shelter, transitional and housing support, and many more.

The Role

The Maintenance Technician provides interior and exterior maintenance of the building, coordinates contractors and required inspections, and maintains inventory of necessary maintenance and building supplies.

Responsibilities:

· Provides maintenance of the building, including plumbing repairs, painting, assembly of office furniture, exterior grounds maintenance, cleaning, ect.

· Coordinates maintenance needs of the agency, including the purchase of service within the maintenance area (i.e., electrician, plumber)

· Orders building maintenance supplies and repairs equipment as necessary

· Maintenance of agency security system

Minimum Requirements:

· Successful completion of a Building Maintenance Certificate, General Carpentry Diploma, or equivalent experience

· A minimum three (3) years of experience in building repair and maintenance

· Availability to work Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm, totalling thirty-five (35) hours a week, as well as after-hour on-call commitments

· Ability to organize and work independently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.77-$29.14 per hour
