Torch Family Fitness Personal Trainer - Independent Contractor

Position Overview

Torch Family Fitness is a well-established, community-focused fitness club in Essex, Ontario. We are seeking a certified and self-motivated Personal Trainer to join our team as an independent contractor. This is a flexible, business-minded role where you set your own rates, schedule your own hours, and work directly with your clients to help them achieve their health and fitness goals. Key Responsibilities

· Provide one-on-one and/or small group training sessions customized to client goals and abilities

· Conduct fitness assessments, track progress, and adapt programs as needed

· Demonstrate safe and proper exercise techniques and equipment use

· Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to encourage long-term success

· Manage your own client scheduling, communication

· Operate in compliance with Torch Family Fitness policies and facility guidelines

Requirements

· Current Personal Training Certification from a recognized organization (e.g., CanFitPro, ACE, NASM, ISSA)

· Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain before starting)

· Must carry and maintain own liability insurance

· Previous personal training experience preferred

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Self-motivated and reliable with a commitment to client results
