Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver and warehouse worker to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. Position also includes warehouse duties when not driving. Responsibilities

DRIVING

  • Safely operate a truck to transport freight to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of goods.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo details.
  • Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or delays.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on the truck, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure.
  • Operate heavy equipment as needed, including forklifts for loading/unloading.
  • Deliver materials and off load at job site

WAREHOUSE DUTIES

  • Loading and Unloading of Trucks

  • Verification of materials

  • Receiving of materials into inventory system

  • Assignment and picking of inventory and stock

  • Operation of carpet cutting machine (Training & Supervision provided)

  • Staging of materials for freight

  • Delivery of materials to job sites & retail locations

  • Management & ordering of stock

  • Scheduling pick-ups and deliveries

  • Coordinating shipping with purchasing department

  • Arranging internal and external freight

  • Other duties as assigned

Experience

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid DZ license - minimum 3 years
  • Some warehouse experience preffered
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred.
  • Knowledge of automotive repair is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
