Production Final QC Inspector

The Canalta Group of Companies is a privately held, Canadian-owned company focusing on the manufacturing and service of industrial control and measurement equipment, specifically targeting the gas industry, and supplying customers internationally. We are hiring a Quality Control Inspector at our head office in Red Deer, Alberta. This is an entry-level position with on the job training provided.

What You Will Do
- Perform final inspections on fittings, pipes, and assemblies to verify compliance with engineering and quality standards (ISO, ABSA, PED).
- Conduct visual, dimensional, and weld inspections, ensuring workmanship, alignment, and functionality meet specifications.
- Review and complete quality documentation, including MTRs and daily checklists, maintaining full material traceability.
- Accurately read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and inspection documentation, and clearly record findings in written reports.
- Identify and address non-conformances through NCR initiation, review, and corrective action participation.
- Support assembly operations and ensure products are properly tagged, cleaned, and prepared for shipment.
- Safely operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, jib crane) and hand tools as needed.
- Maintain inspection tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Promote a strong safety culture and uphold housekeeping standards in all inspection and production areas.
What You Need
- Able to safely lift up to 50 lb. using proper technique and aids when required.
- Comfortable standing and working at a station for extended periods.
- Strong reading and writing skills to interpret technical drawings, complete inspection reports, and maintain accurate records.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Forklift and/or overhead crane experience is an asset
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Occasional additional hours may be required based on operational needs.
