At our Cambridge Facility, we fabricate and assemble components for heavy truck, defense, and off-road equipment companies. We feature fitting and welding, metal forming, saw cutting, painting, assembly department, and manufacture everything from small components to large structures, sheet metal to heavy plate.

Job Summary: As a Janitor, the incumbent is responsible for the general upkeep of the facility including all offices, lunchrooms, washroom facilities, and other areas of high frequency.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Sweep office and cafeteria floors, vacuum mats and office floors, dust office, etc.
  • Wash and polish office / cafeteria floors, walls, windows, tables and counters
  • Clean water fountains.
  • Check and clean eye wash stations daily.
  • Clean bathroom fixtures
  • Clean and wash basins
  • Refill toilet tissues and paper towel dispensers.
  • Shovel snow in winter and salt sidewalks if needed.
  • Empty and clean wastebaskets, take all garbage to bins
  • Pick up garbage on property.
  • Recycle and empty cardboard boxes in appropriate bins
  • Ensure that adequate operating levels of office and cleaning supplies are ordered and picked up for the Plant.
  • Clean out and refill first aid solution tray.

Educational Requirements:

  • Grade Twelve education or equivalent.

Required Skills & Expertise:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment as a janitor.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks.
  • Excellent Communication skills
