Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Bosa Properties Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

About The Company
Bosa Properties Inc. ("BPI") is an end-to-end real estate company offering human-centered solutions for property development and management. Based out of Vancouver, Canada, our team of in-house experts work across residential, commercial and master-planned projects, with a growing residential portfolio that includes more than 22,000 homes that are built or under development, and an income portfolio that includes 5.5 million square feet of retail, industrial, office and rental properties under management.

We are an organization of high achievers and believe what is created in community is always better than what is created in isolation. We set high expectations and support you in achieving excellence. We are building a trusted community to collaborate, learn from each other and deliver results.

About The Role
As a Tax Manager, you will take ownership of all aspects of tax management, including compliance, reporting, and strategic tax planning. You will play a pivotal role in identifying and managing tax risks, while working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external advisors to develop and execute strategies that optimize tax efficiency for the company.

You'll bring a proactive approach to keeping our business ahead of changes in legislation, ensuring that our financial reporting and compliance processes reflect current requirements. This is an opportunity to shape how Bosa Properties manages its tax operations — through thoughtful planning, process improvement, and mentorship of team members.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the preparation and review of key tax documentation, including monthly instalment schedules, year-end tax provisions, and income tax schedules for both management reporting and audited financial statements.
  • Stay current with changes in tax legislation, assess their impact on the business, and recommend appropriate actions to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Provide guidance on tax estimation processes for transactions and operational forecasts included in cash flow budgets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to analyze the tax and accounting implications of business transactions and ensure timely execution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate tax processes for greater accuracy and efficiency.
  • Partner closely with Accounting, Legal, Finance, and FP&A teams to support tax reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Support and mentor junior tax staff through training, regular feedback, and review of work deliverables.
  • Review external deliverables such as tax step plans and memos, providing clear and actionable feedback.
  • Maintain strong working paper documentation and standardized tax procedures to support team training and knowledge sharing.
  • Monitor and manage tax compliance deadlines, ensuring all filings and transactions are completed on schedule.

What You Bring

  • CPA designation (or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in tax, ideally within a complex corporate or real estate environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Canadian corporate tax, with exposure to international tax considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience leading or mentoring junior team members.

Our salary ranges and bonus percentages are determined by job family and level. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, education and training, years of relevant experience, and internal equity.

Salary: $1 CAD - $2 CAD

Who You Are

  • Trustworthy: You lead with trust when interacting with your team and other departments. You proactively build trust by demonstrating credibility, empathy, and sincerity.
  • Humble: Unpretentious and self-aware, you take responsibility for your mistakes. You know that egos are barriers to doing our best work and always learning.
  • Community focused: You believe what is created in community is always better than what is created in isolation and excellence is created through collaboration.

How To Apply
We value your interest in Bosa Properties. While we can only respond to shortlisted applicants, we will keep your information on file and consider you for future opportunities as they come available.

You belong here If your experience and interests match with some of the above, we want you to apply. We are dedicated to building a diverse community, where everyone belongs.
