Humans of HR is partnering with a well-established Canadian food & beverage manufacturing company in search of a dependable and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator for a 6-month contract. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of routine payroll responsibilities and contributing to various ad hoc projects across the department.

What You'll Be Doing

The Payroll Administrator will play an important role in keeping payroll operations running smoothly while supporting the team with additional projects that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and overall workflow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with running payroll and maintaining accurate payroll data
  • Support the full payroll cycle for Canadian employees
  • Participate in ad hoc payroll and HR projects as needed
  • Assist with audits, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and company policies

What We're Looking For

  • PCP in progress (or equivalent coursework)
  • Canadian payroll experience (required)
  • Intermediate Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills
  • Strong communicator — written and verbal
  • Professional, organized, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented

Work Environment

  • Hybrid: 2 days/week in the office, 3 days remote
