The City of Burnaby has an exciting opportunity available to work in our recreation children's gymnastic programs. These contract employment opportunities involve leading gymnastics programs for children ages 3 through 5, school-aged children 6 – 12 years as well as parent and tot programs for children ages 1 through 5. Please note these are contract seasonal positions, and hours are based on registration. Performs related work as required.

Applicants must hold a NCCP gymnastics certification Level 1 or higher or Gymnastics Foundations, and must be fluent (written and oral) in English. Applicants must hold a current Emergency First Aid with CPR C or 8-hour + equivalent first aid training. This work is suitable for individuals seeking occasional and/or part-time seasonal work. Benefits include ongoing professional development and mentorship, scheduling to meet individual needs and the opportunity to work with a dynamic and creative team of leaders and supervisors. Our programs have a reputation in the community for excellence, inclusion and fun. Please note that a Police Information Check is required for this position.

Pay Rate: $27.05 – 30.45 per hour

Location: Bonsor Recreation Complex

Hours of work: This is a contract position, hours and shifts are based on registration and do not provide guaranteed hours of work. Typical shifts in this role will be Monday from 10:00 AM – 2:30 PM, or 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM; and Wednesday from 12:30 PM – 6:30 PM, subject to change based on operational requirements.
