Roles and Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret floor plans and/or planograms for installation and placement of various store fixtures; including millwork, gondola, warehouse racking, and POP displays.
- Receive and unload shipments of fixtures.
- Perform assembly of wooden and/or metal furniture and fixture components, ensuring all assembled pieces are properly reinforced and installed in the correct locations as specified on drawings.
- Provide reporting and documentation for ongoing and completed projects.
Requirements:
- Relatable Experience reading, floor plans and/or planograms for installation and placement of various store fixtures.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must have a focus on safety and adherence to site safety rules.
- Must have a valid drivers license and be able to travel to various locations across Canada.
- Must be able to work without supervision when needed, but capable of following the direction of the supervisor on-site when working with larger teams.
- Demonstrate an ability to coordinate and problem solve with other team members.
- Have a commitment to quality, attention to detail and taking pride in workmanship is essential.
- Experience working with computers / smart phone applications for submitting online project reporting
- Additional assets would be experience working in millwork and finish carpentry.
- Additional assets would be WHMIS, Scissor Lift, Working at Heights certification. Training will be provided if not already certified.
