Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-in Caregiver to provide comprehensive in-home care for individuals with various needs. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of client requiring long-term support, with dementia, . The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, home health, and community support, with a commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment. Duties

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans
  • Support clients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's and dementia care through specialized techniques
  • Prepare nutritious Ghana meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with feeding as needed
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment
  • Observe and document patient condition, report changes to healthcare professionals promptly
  • Support clients during outings or community activities to promote social engagement
  • Follow HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy and confidentiality at all times
  • Maintain accurate records related to patient care and medication schedules

Skills

  • Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, or long-term care environments
  • Knowledge of patient monitoring, vital signs, and medication administration
  • Knowledge in preparing Ghanaian meals
  • Experience working with individuals with dementia
  • Strong observational skills for patient safety and health status updates
  • Familiarity with care plans and documentation procedures aligned with healthcare standards
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills for working with clients and their families
  • Ability to work independently while following established protocols and safety guidelines
