Toronto, Ontario, Canada Good People Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year
OUR CLIENT

Our client is one of Toronto's premiere commercial & experiential production companies who bring events and entertainment to life for tier one brands and agency partners. This is a hybrid role that requires 2 - 3 days on-site per week at their Toronto office.

THE ROLE

We're seeking a highly experienced, values-driven Head of XM/Event Production to lead our client's Events & Experiential production division with creative excellence and operational rigor. This senior role is responsible for managing a world-class department that produces unforgettable live experiences, immersive brand activations, and theatrical stunt work.

The ideal candidate leads with integrity, thrives on passion and creativity, sets the bar for excellence, and builds a team-first culture rooted in humility and a strong service mindset. You'll be responsible for end-to-end delivery across all event projects, from strategy to execution, while shaping the future of how their clients' brands show up in the world.

Responsibilities

Senior Leadership
  • Contribute to the long-term strategic vision for the events and experiential division, rooted in their core values of excellence, integrity, and creativity.
  • Serve as a cross-functional leader, collaborating with executive, creative, and production teams to shape unforgettable brand moments.
  • Model humble leadership and foster a purpose-driven culture of accountability and innovation.
Team Building & Department Growth
  • Hire, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of producers, coordinators, and freelancers across events, brand activations, and stunt production.
  • Establish clear workflows, best practices, and production frameworks that scale with excellence and clarity.
  • Promote a healthy, high-performing culture that fosters learning, celebrates wins, and supports each other through challenges—with a service-first mindset.
Event Oversight, Brand Activations & Stunt Execution
  • Provide senior oversight on the development and execution of all large-scale events, immersive activations, and theatrical stunt work.
  • Ensure all work is delivered with creative ambition, technical precision, budget integrity, and operational excellence.
  • Serve as senior lead on high-stakes projects, embodying calm leadership and principled decision-making under pressure.
Sales, Growth & Client Development
  • Support new business efforts by collaborating on pitches and RFP responses, while building trusted relationships with clients and agency partners.
  • Help identify new opportunities for experiential growth.
  • Represent the company with professionalism, creative vision, and a commitment to client service.
Innovation & Industry Impact
  • Stay ahead of trends in experiential marketing, immersive tech, guest experience, and creative technology.
  • Push the boundaries of what's possible, bringing passion and creativity into every experience.
  • Attend industry events, mentor rising talent, and set the bar for ethical, bold, and inspiring experiential work.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in experiential production or event marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior level role.
  • A diverse portfolio of branded events, immersive installations, live activations, and/or public stunts that showcase excellence and creative vision.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a clear ability to coach and empower high-performing teams with humility and generosity.
  • Deep production knowledge: permitting, vendor management, budgets, tech integration, timelines, safety, and on-the-ground logistics.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with a reputation for integrity and client trust.
  • Willingness and ability to jump into the trenches on projects requiring extra attention and support.
  • A reputation for being not just a strong leader, but someone people want to work with.

Bonus Points
  • Experience working directly with brands or as part of a creative agency.
  • Familiarity with emerging event technologies (AR/VR, projection mapping, RFID, etc.)
  • Background in theatre, live performance, or stunt coordination.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and hunger to help shape something bigger than yourself.
