Parts Specialist
/Counterperson
to fill a vacant position within their team in Mississauga.
What Is Expected
The
Parts Specialist/Counterperson
has a key role in the Volvo Group | Prevost Division in order to perform all functions relating to the sale and/or handling of replacement parts and accessories. They assist internal/external customers with parts requirements, process orders and ship/receive parts to maintain company standards of customer satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities
- Responds to customer and service technician inquiries for replacement parts, accessories or occasional technical support
- Participates in the improvement and maintenance of the parts department in the branch
- Looks up parts in internally & externally, assigns parts to Work Orders, issues parts to service technicians
- Safeguard organizational and personal information confidentiality.
- Respect the policies, rules, and values of the Company.
- Contribute to the attainment of Company objectives through efficient use of resources.
- Foster teamwork, collaboration, and improved communication between sectors.
- Implement improvements in the department based on Prevost's business directions.
- Promote standardization and uniformity in management processes and practices.
- Develop personal professional skills.
- Act as a worthy representative of Prevost.
What You Need
- High school diploma
- At least two years' experience in bus or truck parts
- Computer use & knowledge (Microsoft Office, SAP)
- Forklift/Reach Truck certification
- Capacity to regularly lift to 20kg unassisted and the ability to climb, bend, squat, reach and grasp
- Flexibility to occasionally work outside of normal working hours, depending on emergencies and last-minute requests
