Job Title: Daytime Server/Bartender

We are a neighbourhood pub focused on great hospitality, reliable service, and quality food and beverages. We're looking for someone who is friendly, professional, and capable of contributing to a smooth daytime operation.

Position Summary

The Daytime Server/Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests, managing daytime bar operations, and supporting the front-of-house team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys daytime shifts, takes pride in organization and guest experience, and enjoys working in a community-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve diverse cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Provide consistent and professional table service for guests
  • Assist in opening duties, daily setup, and bar readiness
  • Manage reservations and phone inquiries during daytime hours
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, FOH, and service areas
  • Help complete light administrative and side-work duties such as:
  • Stocking and restocking
  • Cleaning tasks
  • Restocking glassware and bar supplies
  • Handling lunch and afternoon service transitions
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service and uphold house policies
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and FOH staff to deliver excellent hospitality

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years experience as a bartender/server (daytime experience an asset)
  • Strong cocktail knowledge and working familiarity with classic and modern drink styles
  • Computer-literate and comfortable using POS systems and reservation tools
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
  • Smart Serve (or equivalent) certification required
