We are seeking a motivated and energetic first-year or second-year Automotive Technician Apprentice to join our bustling shop. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the automotive industry while working under the guidance of our experienced technicians. The successful candidate will assist in various automotive repair and maintenance tasks, ensuring the high-quality service and customer satisfaction that Maple City Tire and Automotive Services is known for.
Responsibilities
- Assist in diagnosing and repairing vehicles, including performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, tire changeovers and brake inspections.
- Experience with brakes, suspension, and steering systems is preferred.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with senior technicians to learn about automotive systems, schematics, and assembly processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly after use.
- Participate in heavy lifting as required during vehicle repairs or parts replacement.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills with our experienced technicians.
- Document work performed accurately in accordance with company policies.
- Availability to work alternating Saturdays is required.
Experience
- Previous automotive shop or dealership experience is preferred but not required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with various automotive repair processes are essential and mandatory.
- Experience with welding is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and perform heavy lifting as needed.
- A strong willingness to learn from experienced mechanics and develop skills in automotive maintenance and repair.

Pay: $17.20-$29.47 per hour
