Le Club de tennis de Dorval est à la recherche d'un(e) gérant(e) dynamique et organisé(e)
pour superviser les opérations quotidiennes, l'encadrement du personnel, les services aux
membres et l'administration financière du club. Relevant directement du comité exécutif,
le/la gérant(e) joue un rôle clé de leadership en veillant à ce que le club fonctionne
efficacement, respecte sa mission et offre une expérience exceptionnelle à l'ensemble de
ses membres. Le/la gérant(e) agit également comme principal point de contact entre les
membres, le personnel, les bénévoles, les organismes partenaires et le comité exécutif. Ce
poste exige une disponibilité occasionnelle sur appel.
Responsabilités principales
Leadership et stratégie
• Diriger le club en cohérence avec sa mission, sa vision et ses priorités stratégiques.
• Élaborer et mettre en œuvre des plans de travail et des budgets annuels.
• Identifier les occasions d'améliorer les opérations, la programmation et les services aux
membres.
Gestion des opérations, supervision du personnel et programmes
• Superviser les opérations quotidiennes des installations, incluant l'entretien des terrains
et les ouvertures/fermetures saisonnières.
• Assurer le respect des normes de santé et de sécurité.
• Appuyer les programmes récréatifs, d'enseignement, compétitifs et juniors.
• Coordonner les activités des sous-comités.
• Collaborer avec la Ville et les entrepreneurs pour l'entretien (portée à définir).
• Superviser le personnel, les entrepreneurs et les professionnels de l'enseignement
(portée à définir).
Relations avec les membres
• Agir comme principal contact pour les demandes, suggestions et préoccupations des
membres.
• Assurer une communication régulière par courriel, site web et médias sociaux.
• Favoriser un environnement accueillant et inclusif.
Finances et administration
• Tenir un registre financier pour révision par un comptable.
• Gérer la petite caisse et suivre les dépenses.
• Préparer les chèques pour signature et traiter les bons de paiement.
• Superviser les ventes (cantine, boutique, laissez-passer invités).
• Suivre la performance financière et gérer le budget de fonctionnement.
• Gérer les inscriptions des membres et maintenir des dossiers précis.
• Fournir des mises à jour régulières au comité exécutif sur les finances et les opérations.
• Préparer la paie (actuellement seulement applicable au poste de gérant(e)).
Événements et communications
• Planifier et appuyer les événements du club (tournois, activités
sociales, événements communautaires).
• Assurer une communication cohérente avec les membres et les
parties prenantes.
• Représenter le club lors de rencontres et événements publics.
Croissance et promotion de l'adhésion
• Développer et mettre en œuvre des stratégies de marketing pour promouvoir l'adhésion.
• Mettre en place des initiatives pour attirer et fidéliser les membres.
• Organiser des événements promotionnels et des activités de rayonnement
communautaire.
Commandites et partenariats
(sous approbation du conseil)
• Identifier et conclure des ententes de commandite et de partenariat en accord avec les
valeurs du club.
• Maintenir des relations durables avec les partenaires.
• Rechercher des sources de financement pour appuyer les initiatives du club.
Qualifications
Exigées
• Solides compétences en leadership, organisation et relations interpersonnelles.
• Expérience en gestion des opérations, prestation de programmes ou administration
d'organismes sans but lucratif/sportifs.
• Capacité à gérer plusieurs priorités de façon autonome et responsable.
• Excellentes aptitudes de communication écrite et orale.
• Maîtrise des outils numériques (plateformes d'inscription/réservation, tableurs,
marketing par courriel, médias sociaux).
• Bilinguisme (français/anglais).
• Compétences de base en comptabilité et gestion de registres financiers.
Atouts
• Connaissance des clubs de tennis ou de la programmation sportive communautaire.
• Familiarité avec la collaboration municipale.
Conditions d'emploi
Il s'agit d'un poste salarié d'un an, renouvelable. La charge de travail est de 1 000 heures
annuelles, réparties approximativement comme suit :
• Janvier à mars – 10 heures par semaine
• Avril à mai – 25 heures par semaine
• Juin à août – 40 heures par semaine
• Septembre à octobre – 25 heures par semaine
• Aucune heure requise en novembre et décembre

ENGLISH
The Dorval Tennis Club is seeking a dynamic and organized Manager to oversee day-to-day
operations, staff supervision, member services, and financial administration. Reporting directly
to the Executive Committee, the Manager plays a key leadership role in ensuring the club
operates smoothly, remains aligned with its mission, and delivers an exceptional experience for
all members. The Manager also acts as the central liaison between members, staff, volunteers,
partner organizations, and the Executive Committee. This position requires occasional on-call
availability.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
• Lead the club in alignment with its mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
• Develop and implement annual work plans and budgets.
• Identify opportunities to enhance operations, programming, and member services.
Operations Management, Staff Supervision & Program Oversight
• Oversee daily facility operations, including court maintenance and seasonal openings/closings.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Support recreational, instructional, competitive, and junior programs.
• Coordinate activities of sub-committees.
• Liaise with the City and contractors regarding maintenance (scope to be defined).
• Supervise staff, contractors, and teaching professionals (scope to be defined).
Member Relations
• Serve as the primary contact for member inquiries, suggestions, and concerns.
• Maintain regular communication through email, website, and social media.
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment.Finance & Administration
• Maintain financial records for review by an accountant.
• Manage petty cash and track expenditures.
• Prepare checks for signature and process vouchers.
• Oversee sales operations (canteen, pro shop, guest passes).
• Monitor financial performance and manage the operating budget.
• Oversee membership registration and maintain accurate records.
• Provide regular financial and operational updates to the Executive Committee.
• Prepare payroll (currently applicable only to the Manager role).
Events & Communications
• Plan and support club events (tournaments, social gatherings, community activities).
• Ensure consistent communication with members and stakeholders.
• Represent the club at meetings and public events.
Membership Growth & Promotion
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote membership.
• Drive initiatives to attract and retain members.
• Organize promotional events and community outreach activities.
Sponsorships & Partnerships
(subject to Board approval)
• Identify and secure sponsorships and partnerships consistent with club values.
• Maintain long-term relationships with partners.
• Pursue funding opportunities to support club initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in operations management, program delivery, or non-profit/sports administration.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently with accountability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with digital tools (registration/reservation platforms, spreadsheets, email
marketing, social media).
• Bilingual (French/English).
• Basic accounting and ledger management skills.
Preferred
• Knowledge of tennis club environments or community sports programs.
• Familiarity with municipal collaboration.
Terms of Employment
This is a one-year renewable salaried position. The workload consists of 1,000 hours annually,
approximately distributed as follows:
• January to March – 10 hours per week
• April to May – 25 hours per week
• June to August – 40 hours per week
• September to October – 25 hours per week
• No hours required in November and December
Starting salary: $32,000, based on experience.
