We are seeking a Marketing, Outreach & Communications Specialist to drive community engagement, business development, and brand visibility. This role will work closely with our Marketing Consultant, to develop strategic marketing campaigns, expand partnerships, and increase awareness of Mara's services among diverse audiences.
Role Overview
The Marketing, Outreach & Communications Specialist will be responsible for marketing strategy, outreach initiatives, and business development to strengthen Mara's presence in the home care and healthcare industry. The role will involve building relationships with Home care clients, healthcare providers, corporate wellness partners, insurers, and community organizations to expand Mara's reach and impact.
The ideal candidate is a creative and results-driven professional with experience in marketing, communications, and business development, particularly within the healthcare, wellness, or home care sectors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Relationship Management & Retention
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure high satisfaction and service retention.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with current home care and healthcare service clients to address concerns and improve service delivery.
- Serve as the primary contact for client inquiries, ensuring prompt and effective communication.
- Identify opportunities to enhance services for existing clients and provide recommendations to management.
2. In-Home Assessments & Client Support
- Conduct in-home assessments for home care clients using materials provided by the company.
- Evaluate client needs, care requirements, and overall satisfaction to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Document findings and report back to the executive team for service improvements and personalized care recommendations.
- Educate clients and families on available home care, wellness, and support services.
3. Marketing & Brand Awareness
- Develop and implement targeted marketing campaigns to promote Mara's home care, wellness, and telehealth services.
- Create and manage content for the organization's website and blogs to promote programs.
- Plan and promote community engagement initiatives, such as newsletters and e-blasts.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Consultant to align brand messaging and outreach strategies.
- Manage social media, website content, newsletters, and digital marketing efforts to increase brand visibility.
- Oversee SEO, Google Ads, and paid advertising campaigns to attract potential clients.
4. Community Outreach & Engagement
- Represent Mara Home and Health Services at health fairs, networking events, corporate wellness expos, and community outreach programs.
- Build and strengthen relationships with community organizations, corporate partners, and healthcare providers.
- Handle direct customer relations and B2B sales.
- Develop and execute outreach initiatives that encourage engagement with Mara's services.
- Assist in the coordination of educational sessions, webinars, and workshops to increase awareness of home care and health services.
5. Business Development & Partnerships
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through partnerships with corporate wellness programs, insurers, government agencies, and healthcare networks.
- Assist in grant writing, funding applications, and partnership proposals to support service expansion.
- Develop referral partnerships with hospitals, senior living communities, and private healthcare providers.
7. Administrative & Performance Tracking
- Maintain records of client interactions, assessments, and feedback to ensure service quality and improvements.
- Track marketing efforts, outreach success, and business development initiatives, providing regular reports to management.
- Analyze client data and identify trends to improve services and retention strategies.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, community outreach, or a similar role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Proven Knowledge and understanding of First Nations Communities and culture is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in client relationship management and conducting in-home assessments for healthcare or home care services.
- Proven ability to develop and execute marketing campaigns that drive engagement and business growth.
- Experience managing social media platforms, digital marketing, and branding initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and car insurance, to perform duties related to this position.

- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Familiarity with web development, SEO, and website analytics is a plus.
