This hybrid role blends bookkeeping and data management - perfect for someone who enjoys working with numbers, patient data, and systems that improve healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Administration:
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable, receivable, and expenses; prepare and reconcile monthly financial statements, invoices, and vendor payments; support budget monitoring and forecasting. - Data Management & Quality Control:
Oversee the collection, entry, and validation of patient and operational data within electronic health records (EHR) systems; review data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency to ensure high data integrity. - Database Maintenance & Reporting:
Manage and update internal databases, design data collection forms, and generate regular reports to support clinical and administrative teams with performance insights. - Compliance & Security:
Ensure data handling and financial documentation comply with confidentiality, PIPEDA, and HIPAA standards; implement data security protocols and maintain audit-ready records. - Technical & Analytical Support:
Provide technical support for clinic systems and assist with troubleshooting database or software issues; analyze trends and create dashboards for decision-making. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with clinical, administrative, and leadership teams to improve data flow, streamline processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in
Accounting, Business Administration, Health Information Management
, or related field. - 3–5 years of experience in
bookkeeping, data coordination, or clinical data management
(healthcare experience preferred). - Proficiency in
MS Excel
,
EHR systems
, and accounting software (
QuickBooks, Sage, or similar
). - Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and data validation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of
data privacy regulations
(PIPEDA, HIPAA, or GDPR) is an asset.
