What your day looks like as a Senior Data Analyst:

The Senior Data Analyst acts as the primary BI resource for both container terminal teams. This key role is responsible for designing BI solutions and ensuring data and process quality. The Senior Data Analyst plays a major part in creating operational KPIs to support decision-making and developing intelligent solutions that streamline business operations.

  • Design, implement, and maintain data models and solutions to maximize data-driven insights
  • Develop and manage BI platforms for reporting and process automation
  • Oversee and manage data warehouse support vendors, including supplier management
  • Create and maintain a roadmap for data system development and integration
  • Provide user support for BI tools, including reporting, EDI, and data exchanges (EDI/API/FTP)
  • Manage data integration with third-party systems (ERP, external partners)
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to data systems and integrations
  • Collaborate closely with business teams to ensure data solutions align with company goals
  • Maintain system stability and reliability
  • Contribute to and/or lead modernization projects, including AI and predictive modeling initiatives
  • Build complex formulas and leverage advanced mathematical skills to generate detailed reports
  • Translate logistics data insight needs into complex KPI formulas

To succeed as a Senior Data Analyst, you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field: Statistics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
  • 5–10 years of experience as a BI or Data Analyst (preferably in logistics, transportation, or the maritime industry)
  • Proficiency in MS Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Fabrics)
  • Strong knowledge of SQL databases and data manipulation
  • Experience with low-code solutions (Power Automate, Talend)
  • Knowledge of Snowflake
  • Familiarity with Python
  • Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Solid prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • A solution-oriented approach focused on problem-solving
