Taper (Drywall Finisher) — PEI Branch

AU Living Building Construction Ltd. is growing, and we're hiring experienced Tapers for our PEI team. If you're serious about craftsmanship, proud of your finish quality, and enjoy a supportive, high-standards crew, we want to hear from you.

What you'll do

  • Apply tape and compound to drywall seams, corners, angles, and beads (Level 4/5 as required)
  • Skim, sand, and spot to deliver a smooth, paint-ready finish
  • Repair cracks, holes, and surface imperfections
  • Work efficiently in residential and commercial environments
  • Maintain site cleanliness and follow all safety procedures
  • Coordinate with site leads to meet schedule and quality targets

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of drywall taping/finishing experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistency across units/areas
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
  • Own basic tools (knives, pan/hawk, corner tools; bazooka/banjo an asset)
  • Valid driver's license & reliable transportation (asset)
  • Current safety tickets (e.g., WHMIS/Fall Protection) are an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 24 months

Pay: $16.49-$28.52 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
