Cybertech Automation is seeking an experienced full-time Network Specialist to help support a key client in the greater Edmonton Area. This is a hybrid role working both on site and from home as required.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Specialist to design, implement, and maintain our clients robust network infrastructure and critical Windows server environments. The ideal candidate will possess a Cisco CCNP certification and extensive hands-on experience with Windows Server administration. This role involves ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of all systems to support core business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls) and administering Windows servers (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP).
- Monitoring performance, implementing security protocols, creating documentation, performing maintenance and upgrades,
- Assisting with cloud services.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field,
- 5 or more years of experience working in an IT environment
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise or Data Center or higher (e.g., CCIE)
- Hands-on experience in network and Windows Server administration.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
- Strong understanding of network security principles (firewalls, Zero Trust, least privilege).
- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automation and scripting for network
- Microsoft Azure Administrator Association certification is an asset
- Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) is an asset
