Truck Driver

Description / Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and ensure a good customer experience
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks
  • Assist on deliveries
  • Ensure and participate in the maintenance of your department
  • Be aware of current promotions and flyers
  • Develop a basic knowledge of all the departments in the store
  • Comply with policies and procedures regarding loss prevention, breakage of goods and health and safety
  • Physically active job in possibly inclement weather conditions (cold in winter/hot in summer)
  • Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Class 3 license with Air Brake Endorsement considered an asset.
  • Trained for forklift (or willing to be trained)
  • Available to work weekends
  • Willing to become knowledgeable about building supplies
  • Must have a clean driver abstract
  • Minimum 1-3 years experience of truck driving
  • Ability to work independently
  • Physically fit, ability to lift heavy objects
  • Team player with safe working habits
  • This person will be required to deliver product to jobsites in a timely manner
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of products and general yard duties

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
