Key Responsibilities
Work closely with Product Management, R&D, Mechanical Engineering, ERP Management, Software Engineering, Marketing, Sales & Application Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Operations to support:
- Defining product development project scope by compiling Voice of Customer and competitor offering documentation.
- Full-scale modelling and drafting for new products.
- Product testing and certification.
- Sourcing of prototype components and leading in-house assembly.
- Develop BOMs and support ERP Management with Epicor integration.
- Support Software with product detail implementation.
- Provide support material for Marketing including brochure data, product renders, 3D Printed Models, and IO&Ms.
- Population of sales drawings and other submittal related details for Sales & Applications.
- Support Manufacturing with product documentation development such as Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Support Operations with production run builds and continuous improvement.
Experience and Skills
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 3+ years experience in HVAC OEM design.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with 3D CAD Modelling (SolidWorks preferred).
- Experience with heat recovery units would be an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment in a hands-on position.
- Team player with positive attitude, excellent collaborative, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent ability to multitask and work efficiently within deadlines.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and documentation practices.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
- Highly coachable with a willingness to learn and be part of a dynamic team environment.
- Knowledge of basic principles, methods, and practices of sheet metal design and fabrication.
- Experience with Epicor or other ERP systems is an asset
About You
- You have a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- You have a minimum of 3 years' design experience in the HVAC OEM industry.
- You are accustomed to performing at a high level.

Compensation:
- Total Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000
