Internally this position interacts closely with other material handlers, sales team members, production associate, transportation personnel, and Ippolito drivers. Externally this position interacts closely with customers, carriers, and maintenance companies. Ensure all tasks are completed as assigned by the Distribution Supervisor or Warehouse Manager.Job ResponsibilitiesLoading/unloading trailers as assignedSorting and scanning freight – RF SystemEnsure that correct product ID/Code number is on product, and verify the contentOrder picking as assigned ensuring proper product in rotationDaily pre-shift inspections of assigned lifting equipmentEnsure compliance with all policies and proceduresCommunicate shipment discrepancies or errors to the Distribution Supervisor or Manager upon detectionInspect lifting equipment as assigned and report any hazardous situationsResponsible for the safe equipment operationAdvise Supervisor of any maintenance requirementsSpecial projects as identified by the managerShift is from 8pm to 8am Continental nights Education and ExperienceHigh school diplomaPrevious experience with a pallet truck, counterbalance and forklift requiredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMathematical aptitudeAbility to lift 40 lbs.Sound knowledge of GMPs, SOPs, and safety regulationsProficiency with the English language At the Ippolito Group, we are committed to fostering a workplace that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion.
