Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, managing transactions, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with strong customer service skills. This position offers an engaging work environment where attention to detail and time management are essential to success.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks using POS systems such as Micros POS
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in accordance with food safety standards
  • Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service
  • Ensure food preparation areas meet health and safety regulations
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods, demonstrating strong time management skills
  • Restock supplies as needed and assist with food preparation when required
  • Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and POS operations
  • Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
  • Experience in serving, food preparation, and food service is desirable
  • Must be able to handle cash accurately and demonstrate good math skills
