We are a CARSTAR-affiliated collision repair centre committed to fast, high-quality repairs. We're building a top team and looking for a skilled, motivated Paint Prep Technician / Prep Man to ensure our refinishing work is efficient and flawless.

As part of our team, your work has direct impact—efficient, precise prep keeps our whole operation moving smoothly and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare repaired vehicle surfaces for paint: sanding, smoothing, cleaning, masking, taping

  • Apply body filler, feather edges, and feather transitions where required

  • Remove old coatings, trim, mouldings, hardware, emblems etc.

  • Mask and tape windows, trim, lights, seams — ensure adjacent areas are protected from overspray

  • Inspect surfaces for imperfections — guide corrections before paint

  • Work closely with painters and bodymen to keep jobs flowing

  • Keep prep area clean, organized, and safe

  • Communicate any inconsistencies or extra work needed

  • Follow CARSTAR / OEM repair and refinishing procedures

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1–3+ years experience in auto body prep, refinishing, or collision shop environment

  • Strong sanding, masking, and surface prep skills

  • Understanding of filler, primer, and surface prep best practices

  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain high standards

  • Punctual, reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Experience in flat rate / performance or fast-paced shop is an advantage
