Employment Opportunity Sheridan Nurseries Glen Williams Farm is actively searching for: General LabourSeasonal, Full TimePosition Summary:These full time seasonal positions are at our Glen Williams Container farm in Georgetown, Ontario, and provide a great opportunity to learn about plants by working with them first-hand These positions involve repetitive work which may include pruning, potting, watering, and plant maintenance. . Must be able to work in a fast paced and physically demanding environment often outside in inclement weather conditions. Will require evening and weekend work, depending on seasonal weather patterns.Your Accountabilities:Communicate effectively for job requirements and safetyMeet daily targets for quality and productivityPlanting and Potting; Crop Maintenance – Clipping, Pruning, Staking, HarvestingPromote a safe and healthy working environmentAble to join other work crews as priorities require at the direction of Management Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Work well with others in a team environmentMust be in good physical condition and enjoy work in outdoor conditionsRequires your own transportation arrangements to the NurseryNo education and no experience requiredThis job requires extended periods of walking and standing, as well as the ability to lift up to 50lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions and environments.
