Paradox is growing - and we're looking for driven, hands-on Business Development Representatives to help us expand our matting operations across Western Canada.
Business Development Representatives are responsible for growing Paradox Access Solutions' matting business by building strong client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and delivering reliable access solutions across industries such as oil & gas, utilities, energy, forestry, and mining. This role requires a hands-on sales approach: prospecting new clients, responding to project needs, preparing bids and proposals, and ensuring smooth coordination with Paradox's operations and logistics teams to deliver safe and cost-effective matting solutions. Regular travel to client sites and project locations is required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the oil & gas, utilities, energy, forestry, and mining.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, project managers, and procurement teams in oil & gas, utilities, forestry, energy, and mining sectors.
- Prospect and secure new business opportunities for Paradox's matting products and services.
- Prepare accurate bids, pricing proposals, and contracts aligned with operational capacity and client requirements.
- Lead negotiations to secure competitive and profitable agreements.
- Work closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure project timelines, delivery, and installation are met.
- Conduct site visits and client meetings to understand project needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Track competitor activity, market trends, and upcoming projects in the matting sector.
- Maintain accurate CRM records of leads, opportunities, and client communications.
- Represent Paradox at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions to promote matting services.
- Provide post-sales follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and foster repeat business.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3–7 years of experience in sales or business development, ideally within matting, equipment rentals, oil & gas services, or related industries.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience preparing proposals, bids, and contracts.
- Strong asset: established relationships with procurement teams in oil & gas, utilities, and forestry sectors.
- Class 5 Driver's License and an adequate 5-year Driver's Abstract.
- If assigned a company vehicle, must have the ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol test.
