Septic / Pump Truck Driver / Yard Hand - Minimum 3 Year

Responsible for completion of daily service calls to commercial, industrial and municipal clients including but not limited to, sanitary cleaning, transportation and disposal of liquid wastes at transfer stations and disposal facilities.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Drive and operate a pump truck safely, including fueling and maintaining fluid levels
- Complete daily hazard assessments, pre-trip inspections, and dump manifests
- Communicate maintenance requirements to supervisor immediately and note inspection forms
- Communicate well with dispatchers and customers
- Maintain cleanliness and safe operation of truck. Keep truck stocked with supplies, sufficient fuel, and all required tools
- Must follow all company regulations and be able to work overtime and weekends when required
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned i.e.: loading/unloading toilets for new, existing, and past customers, moving toilets in yard, repairing, and cleaning toilets as required at the shop
- General computer working on computer-based dispatching app.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance
You have:
- A minimum of 3 years driving experience with clean driving record (Class 1 or 3). You will be asked to provide a copy of your abstract should you be the successful candidate.
- Ability to pull at 40-foot trailer and maneuver safely.
- Understand the workings of holiday trailers (water & sewer) delivering, removing, servicing, maintenance and cleaning of our washroom trailers
- Physically able to load/unload and move 100lb (toilet) and pack 5-gallon pails easily.
- Solid mechanical aptitude is an asset
- Great communication skills as we specialize in customer service.
- Experience and the ability to work well on your own as well as in a team environment.
- Valid Alberta Driver's License.
- Reliable transportation and be willing to commute to Cochrane.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Previous experience is an asset, however not a requirement. We provide all required training.
- Good habit of being on punctual and reliable.
- Take pride in your work.
- Ability to work independently and or with minimal supervision.
- Mechanical aptitude preferred but not required.
Hours:
This is a casual / part time position which could turn to full time in December 2025. Until that time Hours will range from minimum of 3 hours to 8 hours in a day. These hours could be any day of the week and or on the weekend. A weekly schedule will be provided a week ahead of time.
This position will also provide coverage for our full-time drivers, during their personal holiday's, appointments and or illness.
