Director, Treasury Trading

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Repo Trader to join our dynamic trading team in Toronto. This front office role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in U.S. and Canadian repo trading, with a solid understanding and possibly experience in money market trading, collateral management, and foreign exchange execution. You will be working in a fast-paced, cross-trained trading environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Confidently execute and manage repo trades in both U.S. and Canadian markets, ensuring optimal pricing and risk management.

• Support the desk's VP and the Senior Portfolio Manager with trade execution and strategy development.

• Monitor and analyze market trends and economic data to make informed trading decisions.

• Manage collateral efficiently to optimize the use of available resources.

• Collaborate with other traders and departments to ensure smooth trade execution and processing.

• Maintain accurate records of trades and support documentation for compliance and reporting purposes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in U.S. and Canadian repo trading.

• Strong background in finance or economics; a CFA designation is an asset.

• Expertise in money markets, collateral management, and foreign exchange products.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg.

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A background in finance or economics is preferred.

• A CFA or Master's degree in either discipline is preferred.
