About Us
Effortless Admin is a growing employee benefits administration company based in Edmonton. We provide comprehensive third-party administration services, managing benefit plans and insurance premiums for clients across multiple carriers.
The Role
Our company is growing rapidly. We're seeking a detail-oriented junior accountant to join our team during an exciting growth phase. This role offers professional development potential—we're looking for someone who can grow into a senior accountant position within five years as our company expands. You'll work closely with two bookkeepers in a collaborative finance team, ensuring consistency across accounting functions.
What You'll Do
- Prepare financial reports and perform month-end closing processes
- Reconcile inter-system data and billing information across multiple insurance carriers
- Handle trust accounting and fixed asset management
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries
- Assist with year-end financial statements, GST returns, and T4 preparation and filing

Qualifications
- Minimum two years of post-secondary accounting education
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Advanced Excel skills
