Software Engineer Controls

Job Summary:

Our client in Kanata, ON is looking for a Software Engineer Controls. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do:

Our Client is seeking to hire a person with embedded software development expertise. This team develops control algorithms and produces code for vehicle features related to climate, starting, locking, lighting, alarms, windows, powered enclosures, and seats.

Basics:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Embedded Software. 3-5 years of experience, Blackbox testing is embedded systems.
  • Automotive protocols CAN/LIN - candidate needs to have working level experience with them.
  • Test methodologies - we need good understanding how requirements translated to test cases.
  • Understanding of embedded SW automation testing on HW.
  • Knowledge of automotive protocols.
  • Python coding experience.
  • Onsite position. Expected to be at least 4 days a week onsite.

Preferred:

  • Automated Scripting - intermediate level of python.
  • Requirement Analysis and review.
  • Define Test Strategy for Black Box testing which includes Functional and Integration level Testing.
  • Testcase Authoring.
  • Testcase Automation.
  • Test environment setup[Jenkins].
  • Analyse Test execution.
  • Results Defect creation.
  • Defect reproduction support.
  • Defect Triage Continuous quality improvement by analyzing the leaked defects and enhancing the Testcases.
