Role Description: Oracle Retail Data Migration

This is a contract role for a Data Migration Specialist located in Ottawa, ON in a Hybrid Capacity. The Data Migration Specialist will be responsible to work
with stakeholders to assess, plan, and execute the migration of legacy data to the Oracle Retail Platform.

  • Analyze and validate existing data, identifying any discrepancies or issues that arise during the migration process.
  • Develop and implement data mapping strategies to ensure data integrity and consistency throughout the migration.
  • Utilize various data extraction and transformation tools to facilitate the migration process.
  • Conduct testing and validation of migrated data to confirm accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders throughout the migration project.
  • Document processes, challenges, and solutions to ensure knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols while maintaining enhanced security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and Data Migration
  • Experience with Oracle Retail
  • Experience in Retail data environmens
  • Proficiency in Data Modeling
  • Strong Data Quality management skills
  • Excellent Analytical Skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work on-site in Ottawa, ON
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
