Machobear Studios is an established tech start-up based in Vancouver. We are the creators of , a platform that connects tenants with landlords. In addition to developing and maintaining our platform, we work on a variety of exciting projects for our clients within the real estate and food industries, providing innovative tech and marketing solutions that meet their unique needs. 

Join our team as our next Senior UXUI Designer. We are looking for someone with a strong background in crafting intuitive solutions for web platforms and applications. You'll do well in this position if you are a problem solver, adaptable, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have strong communication skills.

What You'll Be Doing:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product goals and deliverablesAddress design challenges with intuitive solutions that balance user needs, technical limitations and business goalsDevelop visually compelling designs that align with the brand's identity and enhance the overall user experienceContribute to the design and maintenance of design systems to ensure consistency across all productsAdopt and execute various rapid prototyping methodologiesCommunicate with stakeholders and clients on product design developmentResearch, implement and share best design and development practices with the teamConduct user research, competitive analysis, and market research to analyze insights and use data to inform design decisions

What You Bring Us:

4+ years of UXUI Design experienceStrong visual design skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, functional and visually engaging designs Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools such as Sketch or Adobe XDAbility to iterate designs and solutions efficiently, with strong attention to detail and eye for designDeep understanding of visual design principles and best practices (layout, colour theory, typography, etc)Demonstrated experience in taking ownership of product features from conception to development and beyondFamiliarity in implementing web accessibility standards and following WCAG guidelinesExperience with responsive design and ensuring that websites adapt to different devicesUnderstanding user needs, behaviours and preferencesStrong ability to analyze and interpret user data from Google Analytics, usability testing, and other research methods to inform design decisionsFamiliarity with PostHog or similar product analytics tools to track user behavior and identify key opportunities for improvementProven experience conducting A/B testing and data-driven designs to optimize user engagement, conversion rates, and overall UX performanceExperience in developing and maintaining design systemsExperience using AI tools for ideation, copy generation, visual exploration, or similar

Bonus:

Experience designing solutions for e-commerce and checkout flowsBasic knowledge of frontend development (HTML, CSS, JS)Experience with Webflow or similar website builder tools such as Framer
