Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, with opportunities to operate heavy equipment and utilize automotive repair skills as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles, including commercial trucks, to transport freight and goods to designated locations
  • Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
  • Ensure accurate delivery of freight, verifying orders against delivery manifests
  • Maintain proper documentation of deliveries and pickups
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation
  • Assist with warehouse duties such as inventory management and freight handling when not on the road
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record suitable for commercial driving
  • Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or other industrial machinery is preferred
  • Knowledge of freight handling and transportation regulations
  • Ability to operate basic automotive repair tools for minor vehicle maintenance or troubleshooting
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate deliveries and documentation
  • Ability to lift heavy loads safely and work in physically demanding environments
  • Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is a plus
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment
