Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist must maintain strict compliance with corporate policies and procedures. The successful applicant will be very organized and able to function efficiently in a fast paced, detail orientated environment. The schedule will be a standard weekday shift and located in St. Paul
Direct Supervisor: Office Administrator
Job Responsibilities
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
- Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Work with purchasing and maintenance personnel to ensure purchase orders are completed accurately and within deadlines
- Enter invoices accurately and within deadlines
- Ensure that payments to suppliers are made within deadlines
- Reconcile credit card statements – collect receipts from employees
- Prepare lease operator and sub-contractor packages and issue payments
- Issue payments for employee reimbursements
- Enter and pay government remittances
- Compile activity reports for management on activity areas
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
- Other duties that may arise and need to be assigned within company
Qualifications
- Must have valid Driver's license
- Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent
- Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Accounting knowledge/training
- Work well with a team
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background and substance screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search
